Quality HealthCare believes Chinese medicines have much to offer, in some cases as alternative treatment to Western methods, and sometimes as a supplementary form of treatment. As Hong Kong has long been a focal point of Chinese medicine from all parts of China, its practice is generally variable in standard while the Chinese medicine healthcare sector remains fragmented.
In co-operation with Hong Kong Baptist University, Quality HealthCare opened its first Chinese Medicine clinic in April 1999.Now we have 20 clinics within Quality HealthCare Chinese Medicine and continue to expand our affiliate network for this important component of our total healthcare services. The next phase of expansion will involve further developing the network and pursuing joint venture or direct investment in Chinese Medicine clinics.
Quality HealthCare Chinese Medicine has established high-quality, closely-monitored delivery standards and supports the Hong Kong SAR Government's objective for Hong Kong to be a "Centre of Excellence for Chinese Medicine". We co-operate with the newly constituted Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong the body for issuing license for the Chinese Medicine practitioners in Hong Kong. Quality HealthCare Chinese Medicine has also developed its Code of Practice and Clinic Operations manuals for affiliate members within the Chinese Medicine network. |
